专家介绍：

徐辰，博士，在德国柏林工业大学数据库与信息系统管理组担任高级研究助理，从事博士后研究。徐辰分别于2014年和2009年从华东师范大学数据科学与工程研究院和合肥工业大学计算机科学与技术系获得博士学位和学士学位，曾作为访问学生在澳大利亚昆士兰大学从事合作研究。主要研究兴趣是：大规模数据管理与数据分析。

Chen Xu is doing postdoctoral research at Database Systems and Information Management (DIMA) Group, Technische Universität Berlin, as a senior research associate. Chen got his PhD degree in 2014 from Institute for Data Sciences and Engineering, East China Normal University, and the Bachelor Degree in 2009 from Department of Computer Science & Technology, Hefei University of Technology. He studied as a visiting student at The University of Queensland. His research interest is large-scale data management and analysis.


内容介绍：

本报告将介绍德国柏林地区高校及科研院所的大数据研究现状。报告首先介绍数据科学的概念，然后介绍由德国联邦科教部资助的重大研究项目“柏林大数据中心”(BBDC)的进展情况，最后着重介绍由项目孵化的通用大数据分析引擎Apache   Flink的特性，并与类似项目Hadoop和Spark进行对比分析。此外，报告还将简要介绍柏林工业大学的招生情况。

This talk will introduce the big data research in the universities and institutes at Berlin. It includes the concept of data science, the research progress of Berlin Big Data Center (BBDC) supported by German Ministry for Education and Research, and a general data analysis engine of Apache Flink as well as the comparison with Hadoop and Spark. In addition, the information about recruiting in TU Berlin will also beprovided.
