On the morning of July 14th, the 24th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition (Shanghai Division) and the 2nd Shanghai Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, guided by the Robot Culture and Art Professional Committee of the Chinese Engineering Intelligence Society, hosted by the Shanghai Organizing Committee of the China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, and organized by Shanghai University of Engineering Science, opened online at Tencent Meeting. Representatives of teachers and students from more than ten universities including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, Shanghai University, East China University of Science and Technology, Donghua University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science attended the launching ceremony of the competition, and Associate Professor Zhang Yujin of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering was specifically responsible for the organization and implementation of the Shanghai Division.

After the opening ceremony, the judging meeting of the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition and the Robot Innovation Competition was held. 32 teams from Tongji University, Shanghai University, East China University of Science and Technology, Donghua University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Shanghai University of Electric Power, Shanghai University of Technology, Shanghai Dianji University and other universities participated in the report of such project work, and the participating teams introduced the project content to the judging experts in detail with full enthusiasm and vivid image, and the participating projects involved intelligent robots, smart grid and power inspection, AI defect detection, smart city transportation, smart medical care and pension, smart agriculture and many other aspects The competition process is wonderful, reflecting the excellent sense of innovation and innovation ability of contemporary college students. Experts commented on the entries from multiple dimensions such as demand analysis, work innovation, and project application prospects, fully affirmed the innovative spirit of the participating teams, and encouraged the participants to continue their innovation ability. The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition is a national discipline competition with a long history and wide influence. As one of the earliest competitions sponsored by the Chinese Intelligence Society, the competition has cultivated a large number of compound talents who are "hands-on", "dare to innovate" and "good at cooperation" for China. The competition has been included in the "2020 National Ordinary Higher Education Discipline Competition Ranking" and "2021 National Ordinary College Student Competition Analysis Report" released by the China Higher Education Association, and it is also one of the discipline competition activities supported by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
