In order to actively respond to the implementation of the financial assistance policy for economically disadvantaged students in universities, stabilize the "family school bridge", and carry out humanistic care, on October 26, 2023, Li Ying, the head of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Jiang Wenchao, the counselor, and Teacher Xi Qi visited and comforted the families of economically disadvantaged students in Huinan Town, Pudong New Area.

During the visit, the counselors and teachers, on behalf of the college, expressed sincere concern to the parents of economically disadvantaged students and sent condolences. The teachers carefully and meticulously inquired about the family's financial situation and reported to the parents about the student's academic performance, psychological status, and living conditions during their school years. In response to the doubts raised by parents, detailed answers were provided, and parents were introduced to the financial aid policies for disadvantaged students and related funding projects such as national scholarships. Finally, we encourage students to face difficulties bravely, make positive progress, and rely on their own efforts to change their family situation. We also encourage parents to enhance their confidence in the school through the employment and postgraduate entrance examination status of economically disadvantaged students in the past two years, strengthen family school connections, and jointly promote the improvement of students' comprehensive quality, becoming applied talents who repay society.

Carrying out visits to disadvantaged students is a key funding task that the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering has long adhered to, and an important way to promote the national and our school's funding policies.
